Overview

Leh Ladakh is a high-altitude mountainous region bounded by the Karakoram Range from the north and the Great Himalayas in the south. It is a land that abounds in awesome physical features set in an enormous and spectacular environment. Often described as ‘Moonland’ on account of the unique lunar landscape, Ladakh was an independent mountain kingdom for close to a millennium. Leh, the royal capital, was a major crossroads of Asia and a stopping point on the ancient migration routes of the trans-Himalayas, connecting Central Asia with the Indian subcontinent. Its landscape, sky, shooting stars, silence, wizened faces, rosy cheeks, dragons, and Zen—everything makes Ladakh a quiet place to visit. This ethereal cold desert that goes by names such as 'The Last Shangrila', Moonscape, Little Tibet, and so many others—all of which ring true—is a land that seldom fails to baffle or surprise. Ladakh, the land of jagged peaks and barren landscapes, is alluring and awespiring.
In this Incredible Ladakh, e-travel through the ancient kingdom of Ladakh, soaking in the beauty of its captivating landscape, visiting monasteries, villages, palaces, and humble homes, Khardung-la Pass, Changla Pass, Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley, and Indus Valley—a journey that will truly make you want to return—such is the mesmerizing effect of the hospitable people in this enchanting Buddhist land called Ladakh.

Important Note:

We strongly recommend to all the participants do a COVID test before traveling to Leh ladakh or any other long tour.

We also recommend to all the participants to give the RT-PCR test not less than 96 hours before the travel and carry COVID negative certificates with them.

Doing a test strongly reduces the probability of participants coming to the mountains as asymptomatic carriers. It makes it a lot safer for all the participants and staff in the team.

Each member of the group (participants/leaders/ clients & staff) wears protective masks while interacting with each other. Do carry few unused, disposable masks.

It is strongly recommended to wear caps, full sleeves shirts and full trousers and shoes for adventure activities. It reduces exposure to your body parts.

It should be ascertained from the participants that they are not residing / have not traveled in a containment zone and have not come in contact with any person who was tested positive in the last 14 days.

Ascertain whether any participant has any symptoms of Influenza-like illness (ILI) like fever, dry cough, weakness, severe body ache, etc. at the time of the beginning of the activity. If it is so, then he/she should be asked not to participate in the activity and be evacuated on medical grounds and should be asked to report to the local health authority with his own expenses.

Strictly avoid eating gutkha, pan masala, cigarettes, or sniffing, which induces spitting, coughing, or sneezing.

Avoid touching external surfaces and touching your face when outdoors.

If the location of your adventure activity is too crowded, then be prepared to leave or wait for the crowd to disperse/for your turn.

It is mandatory that a participant inform the organizers if he tests positive for COVID within 14 days of returning from an adventure activity. It will help the organizers to inform and alert all other persons in the group so that they can follow the medical/government norms in this regard. Here it is absolutely essential that the participant observes transparency and informs the organizers/group leaders about his Covid test results.
