Overview

Dwarka is a town and municipality of Devbhumi Dwarka district in the state of Gujarat. It is located on the western shore of the Okhamandal Peninsula on the right bank of the Gomti river at the mouth of the Gulf of Kutch facing the Arabian Sea.

Somnath :
The Somnath Jyotirlinga is a renowned Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Prabhas Patan, Veraval, Gujarat, India. It's considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is the first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.

Nageshwar :
Located at a distance of less than 20 km from Dwarka, this temple is among the prominent places to visit in Dwarka. Also known as Nagnath Temple, this shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the important temples in India. It is one of the oldest existing temples and finds mention in Shiva Purana. Shivaratri is celebrated with great enthusiasm and thousands of people flock to the fair held on the grounds of the temple.

Journey by Train

11:00 PM: Departure from Mumbai Central to Rajkot by train.

Day 2

Arrival at Rajkot ( Start journey for Dwarka )

09:00 AM: Arrival at Rajkot. Proceed to Dwarka (250 km, approx. 5 hours).

  • Check in at the hotel and freshen up and get ready to explore Dwarka.
  • Evening visit one of the most sacred temple -  the Dwarkadhish Temple.
