Fireflies Camping Event Itinerary – Sandhan Valley & Kasara 2025

Day 1 – Saturday: Travel & Fireflies Camping

CSMT to Kasara Local Train Schedule

Catch the CSMT–Kasara local train for easy access to the campsite. Below is the recommended timing:

🚙 12:40 PM – Meet our team at Kasara Railway Station and begin your scenic jeep journey to the base village near Bhandardara, known for its glowing fireflies season in Maharashtra.

Evening at the Fireflies Campsite

• 05:00 PM: Arrive at the base village and settle in

• 05:30 PM: Pitch your tents and enjoy your lakeside camping under the stars

• Free time to explore the local village, interact with fellow campers, and unwind

Night Activities—Fireflies Festival & Bonfire Fun

• 08:00 PM: Feast on delicious local Maharashtrian dinner, sing your heart out, play games, share ghost stories, and gather around the bonfire

• 10:30 PM: Walk around the area for fireflies spotting, a magical glowing experience in nature

• 12:30 AM: Head back to tents for a peaceful night under the sky

Day 2 – Sunday: Sandhan Valley Trek & Return

• 06:30 AM: Wake-up call with hot breakfast and tea

• 07:30 AM: Begin your trek to Sandhan Valley, one of the best trekking spots in Maharashtra

• 08:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Explore the valley, relax, and enjoy the breathtaking views

• 11:00 AM: Trek back to the base village

• 12:30 PM: Return and enjoy a hearty local lunch

• 02:30 PM: Depart for Kasara by private transport

• 04:00 PM: Reach Kasara Railway Station

  Booking Procedure for Fireflies Festival:

• Click on the "BOOK NOW" button.
• Select your date & proceed.
• Select the Number of TIckets. (If you have a coupon code, apply at this stage)
• Fill in our details and proceed.
• Select your payment type (UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card) and proceed.
• Once your tickets are booked, you will receive a confirmation email and WhatsApp on your Number 
• WhatsApp group will Make and will add you to the Group one day prior to the Departure 
• Further details about the trip will be shared on that WhatsApp group 1 day prior to the trip.

FAQ – Fireflies Camping at Samrad & Sandhan Valley

How are we traveling to Sandhan Valley camping?

We arrange private jeeps from Kasara Railway Station to Samrad village, the base for Fireflies Camping near Sandhan Valley. The scenic drive takes approximately 2 - 3 hours and offers stunning views of the Western Ghats. You can also choose to come by your own vehicle (location shared post-registration).

Are females allowed to travel to Sandhan Valley?

Yes, absolutely! Our Fireflies Camping at Samrad and Sandhan Valley trek is completely safe and female-friendly. We have had many solo female travelers and groups join us over the years. Our team ensures a secure and comfortable environment for all.

Is it compulsory to do rappelling during the Sandhan Valley trek?

No, rappelling is optional. Our main focus is on the fireflies camping experience, scenic hiking, and exploring the natural beauty of Sandhan Valley. Participants can opt out of the rappelling activity if they are not comfortable.

How many people are allowed in one tent?

Each tent at the Sandhan Valley campsite typically accommodates 2 to 3 people. If you are registering with friends or as a couple, you will be grouped accordingly. Solo campers will be paired with other solo participants of the same gender.

Are washrooms available near the Sandhan Valley campsite?

Yes, basic washroom and toilet facilities are available near the campsite at Samrad. While these are simple and functional, we recommend carrying essentials like wet wipes and toiletries for added convenience, as this is a remote camping site.
